Malicious cyber activity is a threat to New Zealand businesses and individuals. While technology is part of the solution – the most critical need is for skilled and motivated people to help secure our communities.

That’s why we created the CyberCX Academy.

The program is open to university and Polytechnic graduates, school leavers and people seeking a career change or looking to re-enter the workforce.

Who are we looking for?

People as diverse as the community we serve.

If you’re new to this world, we’ll teach you everything you need to know on the go.

If you have recently graduated with qualifications in cyber security, network engineering or computer science, you might be a great fit. We’re also interested in people from law, arts or commerce that have a keen interest in the field.

But you don’t need to have a degree or have just graduated. If you skipped higher education or have experience in the corporate world and you’re looking for a change, we’d love to hear from you.

CyberCX Academy – your fast-track to a rewarding career in cyber

The 6-month CyberCX Academy program provides a blend of formal training and practical on-the-job experience to give you the best possible start in your cyber career. You’ll also receive mentoring and coaching from some of the Trans-Tasman’s leading cyber security experts.

The CyberCX Academy offers two pathways

The consulting pathway
For the people who thrive on client-facing relationships, tech talk and advice
You’ll be working with our clients to identify their security needs and provide advice on cyber best practices.The technical pathway

The technical pathway
For those who want to get their fingers dirty in code and tech tools
You might be developing and implementing security solutions, you could be testing solutions or monitoring client systems. Or you might provide advice on system vulnerabilities or investigate real cyber incidents.
