Reivernet is a premium provider of guest internet solutions to the hospitality industry. Since 2001 they’ve designed, built, configured, and managed hotel networks for all the major hotel brands. They operate over 550+ hotels across 30 countries. Reivernet pride themselves on their attention to detail, responsiveness and their 24/7 multi-lingual support centre.

The challenge

After a period of rapid growth, Reivernet needed to ensure their platform would scale effortlessly with increased user demands and with global expansion, to ensure that all compliance requirements were met. This needed to be completed while running production workloads for customers spread across the globe and ensuring there were no outages.

The solution

Reivernet approached CyberCX to seek advice and assistance for resolving these business challenges. CyberCX conducted an initial AWS Well-Architected Framework Review to understand the current state of the wider AWS ecosystem at Reivernet, and prepare a roadmap to identify future state and how to solve business problems going forward.

CyberCX worked closely with Reivernet to create and deliver an AWS roadmap, and to help to utilise AWS best practise architectures.

CyberCX were able to help deliver the following outcomes for Reivernet:

  • Implemented AWS Control Tower to provide the required automated guard rails and security controls.
  • Standardised Identity and Access Management using Single-Sign On to access the AWS management console.
  • Re-architected applications to align to the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
  • Implemented AWS GuardDuty, AWS Security Hub and AWS Config for intelligent threat detection, single pane of glass view for security events, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

The outcome

The result was a successful AWS roadmap executed between CyberCX and Reivernet. Compliance requirements were met for Reivernet’s continued expansion into the international market, enhanced governance is now in place for deployments, and user account management visibility in a single pane of glass view using AWS Control Tower and the required guard rails.

Nick Little, Senior Solutions Architect at CyberCX for was involved in the project from its inception. “It was great to work alongside the highly skilled team at Reivernet and genuinely be able to share our AWS expertise to help solve the challenges at hand. We were given complete autonomy to get the job done, which allowed us to work closely and achieve the best outcome for Reivernet”.
